Family Names, inherited Names and Nicknames in the village Tajanov

The topic of this thesis is anthroponomastics of Tajanov a village in western Bohemia. The aim of thesis is to analyze the collected proper nouns. I analysed the surnames, the names after residence and the nicknames on the basis of specialised literature. I recieved the material for the analysis from the list of voters and from the almanac to the 700th anniversary of the establishment of the village. I also used the method of exploration and found out next important information by some conversations. All the surnames, the names after residence and the nicknames are divided in the research part of the work into categories according to various aspects. I summarised the statistical evaluation of the accumulated data.

Lukáš Vlasák Bakalářská práce - abstract in English (2014) Abstract (in English): In the first part of the bachelor's thesis is described the structure of a Vietnamese name. The list of the most common given names is included, followed by grammar rules of their ussage in the Czech language. It as well describes the history of a migration of Vietnamese to the Czech Republic. The second empirical part is oriented sociolinguistically. You will find here my foundings based on questionnaires which were distributed among Vietnamese children born in the Czech Republic. The research examines what factors limit the selection of a given name. The goal of this document is to present results of the research. Found tendencies of choosing given names are interpreted considering sociolinguistics factors.

Ivan Lutterer, a prominent Czech onomastician, published in 1975 in the Czech onomastic journal Zpravodaj Místopisné komise ČSAV the article Česká onomastická škola (The Czech Onomastic School). This paper deals with the development of the Czech onomastic school in last few decades, mensions its theoretical and methodological principles and focuses on the main trends of contemporary Czech onomastic research and its results.
